Robert McNichols

President

Robert McNichols is a principal and founder of McNichols & Associates, Inc., a regional firm specializing in the development of elderly housing. Prior to founding McNichols & Associates in 1980, he served for seven years as a County Administrator in the State of Virginia. He has a Bachelor's degree from the Christopher Newport College of the College of William and Mary and post graduate studies in public administration.

Mr. McNichols serves as government liaison specialist, technical advisor and housing development specialist for numerous properties. He has extensive experience in the development of grant applications to key State and Federal Agencies.

Mary Elyn McNichols

Executive Vice President

Mary Elyn McNichols is a principal and co-founder of CSM. She has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, a Master's degree from Ohio State University and a post graduate certificate in Gerontology from Andrus Center of Gerontology at UCLA. A consultant and management specialist, she has worked in the field of retirement services for the past 29 years.

Mrs. McNichols has served as the Executive Director for the New River Valley Agency on Aging and is a founding member of the National Association for Senior Living Industries. She has also served on the National Council on Aging, the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging, and the National Coordinator of State Contract Persons for Aging (NACO).

Denise White

Vice President of Operations

Denise White is the Vice President of Operations for CSM. Denise has over 20 years of comprehensive leadership experience in the management of long term care facilities and is a licensed nursing home administrator. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Radford University with a major in Sociology with a concentration in Gerontology. She has extensive knowledge of assisted living and nursing facility services, operations, regulatory requirements and financial management.

Michael Ballantyne

Vice President of Administration and Development

Michael Ballantyne is the Vice President of Administration and Development for CSM. Michael has over 15 years experience in healthcare master facility planning and healthcare facility operations. He has a Bachelor's degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master's degree from Trinity University. He is a diplomat of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Michael has extensive experience in facility construction including hospital additions, medical office buildings and long term care facilities.

Michael Pearrell

Vice President of Finance

Michael Pearrell, CPA, is the Vice President of Finance for CSM. Michael has over 30 years of experience in public and private accounting, including extensive experience in long term care, third party reimbursement programs, auditing, accounting and bond financing. He is a graduate of West Virginia University.
